Following decisions made by the Heads of State and of Government at the Taormina Summit on May 26 (paragraph 4 of the G7 Taormina Statement on the Fight Against Terrorism and Violent Extremism) the seven Ministers of Interior met on October 19-20 on the island of Ischia, to discuss – with the collaboration of the private sector – how to prevent the terrorist use of the Internet. Ministers also discussed cooperation against the so-called “foreign fighters” through the information exchange and the activities to tackle the extremists.
