Nice to meet you G7
Today, in Rome, “Nice To Meet You G7” kicked off a series of side events that will lead to the Transport Ministerial Meeting in Cagliari, where the relevant Ministers of Italy, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, the UK and the USA as well as the European Commissioner for Transport will gather on June 21-22.
The Rome event, organized by ItaliaCamp under the auspices of the Italian G7 Presidency and with the patronage of the Italian Ministry of Transport, served as an occasion to launch a call for projects on sustainability, from citizens, institutions, companies and universities. The most promising projects will be presented during the G7 Transport Ministerial Meeting, offering a great opportunity to emphasize how open the G7 is to outside stakeholders and how interested it is in collecting ideas from the grassroots level.
The projects will fall under three main categories:
- Economic sustainability: infrastructures for the common good.
- Environmental sustainability: accessibility and integrated infrastructures in support of the territory.
- Social sustainability: infrastructures for the mobility of the most vulnerable social groups.
The selected projects will be showcased during the G7 Ministerial Meeting on Transport in Cagliari, June 21-22.
